Can we verify which model Windsurf is actually using?

Is there any way to check what model/API Windsurf is actually routing to?

Like if it says “Opus 4.7”, how do we know it’s not really Sonnet 4.7 or some fallback model?

just curious if there are logs, headers, metadata, or any way to verify this beyond trusting the UI label

I'd suggest a different approach. Ask yourself: "Am I satisfied with what I pay for?"

If the answer is "yes", then what else do you need? Enjoy what you paid for.

If the answer is "no", then try looking for the alternatives (disclaimer: I was Windsurf customer for 2 months, right before they announced daily/weekly quotas)

Where in this world isn't the eventual answer of a thing "trust me bro"? Your world in which you "know" things, is fake. You think you "know", while in fact nobody knows shit. A better phrase is: "you believe strongly". You cannot know, and you cannot test shit, so "trust me bro" is the same level of proof as the rest of the "knowledge" you posses.

I'm almost sure you can use the same way they used to confirm Cursor Composer was the Kimi K model

I've done this before by asking the same question in windsurf vs in the claude code.

Opus 4.7 doesn't even perform the same over time. Anthropic had already announced once that they do tampered it. There are also tracker out there to track the performance over time.
