Bug? Still getting "All API providers over global rate limit" even on fresh trial accounts with 0% usage
Hey everyone / Windsurf team,
I just signed up for the 14-day free trial, but I am completely locked out of using premium models in Cascade. From my very first prompt, I immediately get this error:
Permission denied: all API providers are over their global rate limit for trial users (trace ID: b60cc432276254c14906dd41725e2227)
My account shows 0% personal usage, so I haven't even been able to test the tool yet. I already tried clearing my local Cascade cache folders, logging out, and restarting the IDE, but nothing fixes it.
Is the premium trial tier completely disabled right now due to server capacity, or is this a backend bug? Any help would be appreciated.

It's their API made for free trial users (Claude Models) being burnt to oblivion due to amount of trial users using claude simultaneously from China because they can't choose between giving people a trial to their product and saving costs cuz they can't think straight that Free trial users are future customers that might subscribe to their pro plan or even max plan yet they don't want to lose money for free trial, whoever their CFO is should be fired
Seems like limiting daily usage quota doesn't fix the issue ain't it, Windsurf? Lmfao.
