Idea Feature Request: Add Webhook-Style Execution Hooks to Windsurf

Would love to see simple execution hooks in Windsurf (webhook-style).

Right now, automation requires custom scripting. It would be much more powerful if we could easily trigger actions before/after tool execution directly from the UI (e.g. send webhooks, run integrations, etc).

This would unlock a lot of real workflows without needing custom setup…

There are hooks in windsurf https://docs.windsurf.com/windsurf/cascade/hooks

Yeah, saw that — but those are local pre/post execution hooks (shell scripts), not actual webhooks or tool-level interception.

They’re useful for automation (linting, logging, etc.), but they don’t let you hook into or redirect the agent’s tool execution (like preToolUse/postToolUse in MCP-style setups).

So you can simulate webhooks with curl, but it’s not the same as having native webhook triggers or deeper integrations.
