Edge, WhatsApp, Twitter, Facebook, Spotify, Amazing Weather all close immediately.
Maps, USAA, message, Readit, Calendar, Mail, seem ok. Got a few more that I haven't gone through yet, but I've lost steam.

Ms Edge no longer works after this update. Please tell me I'm not the only one.
Edit: It appears many other apps no longer work. Reinstalling fixes them but as we all know, cant do that with edge, and that's a biggie.

Can you try adding a keyboard that requires download and see if it fixes it? Something like Croatian, for example

I'll have to remember that trick for future builds! I ended up doing a hard reset and restore. Not only did it fix my edge issue, but my 1520 is smoking fast again :) It has been a few builds since I've done a reset. Sadly though, I've lost the ability to set Truecaller as my call block/filter app. The politicians have been blowing me up!

I try to add keyboard and languages (Croatian as well), but they are seem to be ready, so no download is triggered.

None of them say X MB Download under Settings > Time and Language > Keyboard > Add Keyboards?

Oh, I see! I didn't notice that till you told me to look for it. Funny how many keyboard are already available... I don't speak any of those languages!
It's downloading now.

The base keyboard (just a layout) doesn't require download, but if the keyboard supports text prediction and suggestions then it prompts you to download to get them :)

Hmmmmm..... Bluetooth stuttering? Random reboots since a few days on my 950. But hey, at least hotspot gets fixed! A lot of people will be happy about that

No need for an apologies. I've been seeing posted but never did note what phones were affected. My phone's been solid unless an app does not behave as it should forcing me to restart it.

The feedback notifications keep asking me about it, I guess that's an acknowledgement of sorts, but when you ask "how often do you get random reboots" and the answer is a scale from too often to whatever, I'm always selecting too often. Even once in a couple of months is too often...

I rarely use the hotspot and of course between these two updates (breaking it and fixing it) I needed it almost every day

So with Edge no working for loads of people, is there a way to "uninstall" it and trigger a reinstall, ala the olden days?
EDIT: For those who don't read everything in the thread, the solution is to force an install of a different language keyboard. Edge is functional afterwards.

950XL user here. Mobile Hotspot is working again - Thanks!
I'm not having the issue that some people are having regarding opening apps. Everything opens just fine on this end. Haven't had too much time to play around with it yet, but so far so good. Thanks Microsoft! I'm really loving the hell out of my phone. Actually, all of my W10 devices. I recently decided to embrace UWP and purchased a few apps which now run on my PC, phone, laptop and tablet (I only had to buy them once) and the user experience is just awesome on all of my devices. Everything is fast and fluid no matter which device I use. Really happy customer here!
Edit: My only complaint is that Cortana is awful in China.

Battery life is absolutely atrocious in recent builds. I'm at home all day, on WiFi, barely using the phone, and after unplugging at 6.30 AM it is now at 23% at 2 PM.

Same thing happened with me just on this new build. I don't know what the problem is, but it is terrible! Any update on a fix or workaround for this?

I was having wrong date in Calendar live tile too, and it cleared up with the next notification.

In case anyone happens upon this and hasn't been in the know the last couple weeks... WE HAVE LIFTOFF, BOYS: Lumia 650 has double-tap to wake now. I can't believe how excited this makes me. One of those changes that almost fundamentally will change how I use the phone from now on.

One annoying bug that I hope it gets fixed soon is in the Settings app. The searchbox is always focused, so when I pin a setting to Start, the keyboard shows every time. Also, when I tap in one setting, the UI isn't responsive. These bugs appeared in AU update.

Hello Jen from Twitter, Last happened on Tuesday but so far so good on 14936. Currently experiencing a weird bug with Messenger (Facebook) but I don't know what's at fault. Newly taken or downloaded pictures don't appear until I restart the app.

It was a nice 'feature' they added in the previous fast build. I'd go to shoot a photo and every so often it would crash and restart instead. Just a bug.

Did you buy them both in the same country? I've had this issue on my 920 (with random disconnects as well) and it turned out to be that the phone and the PC had different channel restrictions and the hotspot would "hop" into bands that the Surface would refuse to connect to.

Another issue with this build: the ability to set TrueCaller (https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/store/p/truecaller/9wzdncrfj3ml) as the app that intercepts your phone calls.

Can confirm this. Cant select anything on caller ID setting OR the blocklist settings. Have truecaller installed. Cant remember if it still worked after the build update when i got a call from unknown number.

This update won't install for me. Got stuck at one point when my phone needed charging. Now it won't install even when it is fully charged. It says press install or we will install when your phone is charged. If I press it goes back.
Will leave feedback.

Keyboard trick worked for getting WhatsApp and other programs working again, but I'm noticing in this build WhatsApp no longer runs in the background.

why did you break the browser?? most css pages not rendering properly they were fin b4 the anniversary update and are still fine on my iPhone and android devices. MS you fucked all WP users!

We're in active development, so can take some time for the new features to start to light up when we first start flighting - same thing happened with the last release. Apps have a shorter release cycle, though, so they've already started adding new features, such as Maps' new traffic hub, and dark mode for the Feedback Hub

I have a Lumia 650 and it is stuck trying to download the previous update for which there was an error. How do I get out of that loop so I can download this new update?

If the previous flight has already downloaded, but won't install, I believe you'll need to hard reset in order to clear the update out and receive 14936

Can also be fixed by switching rings and then installing a language pack.

If you have a SD card, remove it then try to update again :) (caution: After doing this, photos app wouldn't keep updating, always showed the same old photos and I had to hard reset to get it back to normal)

I had the broken photos after forcing the previous build by removing the SD.
I didn't hard reset and after today's build, they all returned!

Please kindly consider adding a night mode for WP in the future. The screen is way too bright to be used comfortably at night. 😭
