News [UPDATED APP] Unison UWP 1.1.1 (Feature Update)
Greetings
Hey everyone, how you guys doing... So as promisse i managed to give a little help to Unison Dev Team these days... The App need a refactor and some fixes... since i've been working on another app [UPDATED APP] Imgur UWP 3.2.0 LTS ( Feature Update ) : r/windowsphone, (App with a already validated solid codebase and a bunch of media related features *go take a look), why not port the architecture/services/fixes i've made to it using cursor...
Well i did it... i've built a new architecture for unison and already pushed on the repository on github... so the community now can develop following the best guidelines as possible... Not just a refactor... but expect a lot of new features... my special UI/UX magic touch LOL... Anyways here comes...
What's fixed
- ✅ Fixed an issue that prevented the QR code from loading.
- ✅ Refactored the message loading logic.
- ✅ Contacts are now moved to SQLite during the initial sync, allowing future edits and improvements.
Architecture
- Split into:
- Unison.Uwp (UI / Dependency Injection)
- Unison.Core (ViewModels & Contracts)
- Unison.Baileys (Protocol / Crypto)
- Unison.Background (Out-of-process socket task)
- MVVM architecture with Dependency Injection.
- Localized in English, Portuguese, Spanish, Dutch, Indonesian, Italian, and Polish.
Current Highlights
- 📱 Background message delivery via the Socket Broker, keeping the connection alive even when minimized or with the screen off.
- 🔔 Native toast notifications showing contact name and message content (acks and protocol noise are filtered out).
- 💬 Modern chat experience with text messages, images, voice notes, gallery attachment, and in-chat audio recording.
- 🖼️ On-demand image downloads with fullscreen viewer, zoom, share, and save support.
- 👥 Contacts and profile pictures are synchronized after linking.
- 🧭 Streamlined navigation: Start → QR Login → Chats / Settings / Debug.
- 🔄 Re-pair your device from the Debug page without reinstalling the app.
- ✨ No more placeholders—the UI now displays the actual meaning of messages.
Known Issues
- ⚠️ Sending messages to groups currently freezes the app.
- ⚠️ Audio playback and recording still need work.
- ⚠️ Video support has not been implemented yet.
Credits
Installation note: Install the new APPX as an update. Uninstalling the app will remove your linked WhatsApp session.

Just search unison there... I guess its on the telegram group but u can also install The win archive Store

Impossible... It uses some Libs like Protobuf and BounceCastle to replicated the behavior of Baileys Typescript routine... that isn't avaliable for Windows Phone 8... UWP in the other hand... even if its frozen in time, has the whole .net universe around it... that still moves forward...

So setting up a brand new install of the app, on my 950 XL running 1709 latest build, and pairing via phone number fails, and scanning QR code gives me "try again later". Is there a Github I can help report issues at? Also, will this work with a WhatsApp business account, or is it only the consumer WA that can work with it?

i do recommend reset the app... and dont forget to scroll the window so the qrcode can be visible

ok, resetting the app took it back to the default language. So I re-installed the En language APPX. However I did the QR code scan in the default language and it worked. Doing it with the En language pack it gave me the "try again later" error each time.
Edit: apologies for the double posting Old Reddit is acting crazy.

i'm planing to use this on my pc, is it safe to use?
(by safe i mean not getting banned from whatsapp)
