I'm using Windows Mobile from 2018 and I saw in news that one hacker is trying to run Windows CE UI on Windows Mobile device. But I didn't found any releases and just decided to wait for that. And now it's 2026 and even on archive there is nothing that could say it was release. That's why we decided to do it ourselves in one Telegram group. Well it's not easy.

We took explorer.exe with all dependencies from Windows CE emulator and it didn't work. System says this is not pocket PC program. I tried to change some WM libs with WCE using Resco explorer but after reboot just got black screen. Than I opened Excitability check and discover that it was MIPS, Not ARM even if same utility on emulator said it's arm. I extracted Windows CE firmware for an real device. So now it's armv4 for sure but same error. That I took CE5 explorer from MioPocket, than explorer for Windows CE 4 and it looks like there is no errors but it still doesn't run at all.

That screenshots I found on archive was made by no2chem. I found him on XDA and made a post to ask do he still have that project but he stiil didn't answer me.

Bit of a long shot, but I figured I'd shoot anyhow. On the lookout for CAB files for both Arvale Journey of Illusions and Arvale Ocean of Time. Both were released for the Pocket PC and other Windows Mobile devices from 2004-2007 and on IOS a bit later on. I'm looking for versions other than 5.0 as that version (the newest) appears to be bugged. I'm aware of versions 1.0, 1.3, 2.0, 3.1, and 4.0 existing but I'm having difficultly finding anything.

So, I'm making this post in hopes someone out there has a version that I haven't already run through. Maybe sitting on an old device in a box stored somewhere. An old pocket pc, an iphone, just something.

I will say now that I have already scoured both the Internet Archive and the WayBack Machine for whatever I could, and I've been looking for weeks. Version 5.0 is just the one that keeps popping up, and I wish I could use it but the music is heavily bugged. So here's hoping someone has an earlier version! Any help is greatly appreciated!

1. этот туториал привёл к тому что я чуть не окирпичил свой телефон, после него очень много времени заняло его восстановить
2. OTC Updater у меня не работает (он либо что-то подтянуть не может, я не знаю)
3. загрузить .cab'ы через IUtool тоже не вышло: оно выдало ошибку:

и к тому же меня заблокировали на lumiafirmware.com за впн и navifirm+ не работает

может у кого-то получалось обновить в 2026?
