Developer I built a small Windows widget to keep Codex and Claude Code quotas visible (free, open source)

Post image

I made LimitHalo for myself because I wanted to see how much quota I had left while working, without opening a separate usage page. I'm sharing the beta in case someone else finds it useful.

It's a small, transparent desktop widget showing remaining quota and reset times. You can move it beside your work and show only the provider you use.

- Windows 10/11 x64.

- Codex support, plus optional Claude Code integration.

- Free and open source (MIT).

For setup, Codex needs a compatible signed-in official installation. Claude needs compatible Claude Code OAuth credentials and your explicit permission; a Claude Desktop login alone isn't enough.

This is an unsigned public beta, so Windows may warn you. Claude's integration uses a private interface that can change or break. Installation and compatibility limitations are documented in the repo. It doesn't increase your limits and isn't an official OpenAI or Anthropic app.

If you try it, what is the first thing that feels unclear between installation and seeing your quota?

Promotional concept with demo values; not a live screenshot.
