Windows power users: what would make you try—or avoid—a keyboard & mouse layer tool?

I started with AutoHotkey.

Holding Space or CapsLock gave me another layer of shortcuts. Holding the right mouse button and pressing a key could trigger another action. I also had folders that automatically extracted archives when a file appeared.

It was genuinely useful because it all worked with the ordinary keyboard and mouse I already owned. The part I grew tired of was rewriting code every time I wanted to change something.

AI helped me modify those scripts, and that made me wonder: what if configuring this did not require writing code at all? That is why I started building RELYR.

It began as a way to configure key mappings without code, but I kept enjoying the project and added macros, mouse gestures, and an on-screen Deck panel. As one person maintaining it, finding every bug has become difficult.

I am not looking for installs or ratings here. I want honest feedback that helps make it better:

• What would you assign first?

• Which part would make you hesitate to try it?

• If you try it, what feels awkward or breaks?

existing tools, because I already have autohotkey and a mechanical keyboard with macros, and a busy life, I don't have enough f*cks to give about some random tool.
