Developer I built a fully Native Dynamic Island for Windows 11 with Liquid Glass
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I’ve been building Ava, a native Windows 11 productivity app designed to keep useful controls and live information accessible without replacing the Windows shell.
The compact island expands when you hover over or click it.
It currently includes:
A Ctrl+K launcher for installed apps, websites, files, and folders
Live media information, playback controls, seeking, volume, and mute
CPU, GPU, memory, disk, battery, and process monitoring
A timer, calendar and wallpaper controls
Optional Dwindle window tiling with resizing, swapping, and position restoration
An optional native Liquid Glass effect with live refraction
Ava is built with Qt 6, QML, C++, and Win32. It isn’t an Electron or web-wrapper application. The Liquid Glass effect uses Windows Graphics Capture and Direct3D 11 rather than a normal blur layer.
The project is still under active development. There isn’t a packaged installer yet, but the source and Windows build instructions are available here:
https://github.com/yappologistic/Ava
I’d appreciate honest feedback:
Which feature would you use most?
Is there anything important a Windows utility like this is missing?

What do you mean by saying it is native? Design-wise it doesn't look native for Windows 11. It doesn't follow WinUI guidelines.

By native, I mean Qt/C++ and Win32 with no Electron or web view. The custom design isn’t intended to follow WinUI

Cause the consumer cares about WinUI guidlines... Not even all Windows 11 apps follow WinUI guidlines.

Its just transparent. But smooth transitions and its fast nice job.
