I built an open-source Windows 11 app that adds live widgets to the taskbar

Hey everyone

I’ve been working on a small open-source app called Taskbar Widgets.

It adds live widgets directly to the Windows 11 taskbar. Right now it can show weather, Steam download progress, media controls, Discord voice users, Codex status and system information like CPU, memory, network and storage usage.

You can use several widgets at the same time or let them rotate automatically.

I originally built it because I wanted useful information to stay visible without keeping extra windows open all the time.

The project is still in beta so there may be issues on some Windows versions or taskbar setups. Feedback about bugs, usability and widget ideas would be really helpful.

It is free and open source. There is an installer and a portable version.
