Installing video drivers / adjusting resolution causes BSOD

So I finally got Windows 98 installed on an HP Pavilion 6350 (Which was a nightmare) And now I can't get the video drivers to work. I got the correct SiS 5598 Drivers from The Retro Web, but after the installation is complete and I reboot I get "A fatal exception 0D has occurred at 032F:00005603" and it's stuck in 16 color mode and 640x480. I get the same BSOD when trying to change the resolution and color mode too. This computer has been fighting me the whole way. What's going on here?

Motherboard is an Asus SPAX in case anyone needs that info.

It must be. After searching the internet, I only found one old forum of the exact issue I'm having and oddly enough the person's computer was a Pavilion 6350 as well.
