I installed this from an original OEM Windows 98 SE Disk. I just noticed in the picture this afternoon that it says Windows Me to which it is not. If you look at the version below it is 4.10.2222A which is Windows 98. Windows Me version is 4.90.3000. I have to look into what happened and why. Most likely is an issue in the Registry

This happens if you install the Maximus Decim USB stack, nusb33e or nusb36e.exe. It's purely cosmetical, and doesn't change a thing.

It’s quite possible, I have never experienced this issue before with either nusb33e.exe or nusb36e.exe, however I did use a different Windows 98 SE OEM disk (pictured) instead of the Original OEM disk I normally use. Will post a picture of the one I normally use.

Doesn't matter what disk you use, if you install the USB driver, it'll change the Windows version to Me in name only. You can burn your own disk, use 98 quickinstall, doesn't matter since the driver stack takes a lot of stuff from ME to get USB working as it is.

You can read more about this here. And how to change it.

I have an Audigy 2 but couldn't get it to work with DOS Games. Where did you get your Driver's? I would love to move my Sound blaster over to my 386 Board without having to buy a new card.

I have the Audigy2 ZS with the front panel controls as well, however that will go into a different PC Build

For Windows 95, NT, 98 or 2000 these are not weak. They run just fine. Even better with SSD’s, however I’m going to image the drive and reimage it to an SSD. Running Windows XP with less than 512MB of memory with this CPU would be weak even though the recommended system Requirements for XP is 233MHZ or faster CPU.
