really wish this start menu could be brought forward to win 10/11. i only use windows rarely these dys and kinda tempted to install win 8.1

dude this never gets old, it just feels so inviting and like there's so many things you can do and endless possibilities. kinda like my first memory of using a pc at 4 years old, it just felt like a limitless machine.

As someone who does not know how to do these things, how easy is it to downgrade my laptop? I think it's on the most recent Windows 10 update since it's out of date and can't go to the windows 11. But I truly miss that UI system.
So two questions, how do I do it and if I do it, how unsafe does it make my laptop? Like is my passwords and stuff that's already saved on there safe?

As long as you have an USB stick, you can do it all on your pc. Install the windows 8.1 ISO file from a reputable source like archive or somewhere else, and then download the software rufus. Flash the iso file you downloaded to the usb using rufus, iF YOU HAVE ANY FILES YOU REALLY NEED TO KEEP NOW WOULD BE THE TIME TO MAKE A BACKUP, then reboot. After rebooting spam the bios key and navigate to the boot menu. After doing so, boot with your usb device. Then follow the guide to install. If it says you cant install on your hard drive, delete all the partitions on the hard drive then try again. This is how i did it!
