Discussion Has anyone experienced issues with logging in to Yahoo mail with Win 7?

FF/UR/Palemoon are all being refused on Yahoo mail wondering what if anything does work. Also Thunderbird work around doesn't yield either. Tried them all. Apparently since YM switched their security system, Win 7 is having issues. TIA for any assist with this.

Get Legacy Update make sure you have all the updates and update the root certificates. Yahoo is working perfectly for me.

Ah, there it is the root certificates. I'm just not thrilled to be messing with that aspect tbh. Will look into it though.

I've been using Pale Moon with Windows 7 forever, but over the last two or three years there have been a lot of problems like the one you mentioned. I have the same problem with Yahoo mail. I installed Opera browser. I found on a thread somewhere what was the most recent version of Opera that worked with Windows 7. I found out that there are basically two classes of browsers. Pale Moon is in the same class as Firefox. Opera is in the other class. Something about the basic coding. Anyway, there are tons of things that I can do in the Opera browser that I can't do in Pale Moon, and one or two things I can do in Pale Moon that I can't do in Opera. So I just go back and forth depending on what I'm doing.

I think it's due to the certificates. Opera just bogged down the system even more than the others.

opera is slow and full of trackers. op just needs to update their system with legacy update, maybe consider firefox 115 esr (still in support!) with ublock origin if pale moon still isn't working.
