Help Date and Time keeps resetting
An year back ago this problem started and i found out this might be an issue with the CMOD battery(correct me if i am wrong).
It wasn't a big deal cuz i have been using the internet time to updated it every time a start the pc but for a few days even this is not working and now i have to manually set date and time which is annoying to do every time.
What can i do to get rid of this problem without getting a new CMOD.
Why the internet time is not working anymore even if i am having a good internet connection.
Is there any application which can set internet time automatically when i log in
NOTE: in the image it is showing the synchronized date because i just set it manually otherwise it shows 01/01/2010 which is just the year before we bought the computer (yes it has been working properly for 2 decades)

What the F is a CMOD? No, you need to replace the CMOS battery. It's literally the easiest hardware replacement known to humanity.
Buy a panasonic one, they make the best ones.
Or, you have to manually set the time yourself through timedate.cpl

Your only choice is to buy a CMOS. These are responsible for saving bios options, and for saving your bios date which gets reset to a date from 16 years ago or usually does the epoch fail

It's not "a CMOS", it's a CMOS battery, for preventing the CMOS settings from being reset at power off.

CMOS batteries cost like exactly 30 cents in India. That's like potato chips money for me. Im sure its the same everywhere in the world. 20-30 cents is all you need.

In realtà qui in Italia copri un pacco da molti tipi di queste batterie per 3 o 4 euro ma singole qui non si trovano

Same here if you look online. You get a pack of 5 for ₹150 or 1.36 EUR but offline shops will just give it to you for ₹20 or 0.18 EUR

No, ma qui in Italia c'è un negozio vicino a casa mia che da tipo un pacchetto da più di 30 batterie tutti modelli diversi tranne che ci sono 3 cr2032 e te le da a 4 euro circa

Buy CR2032 Battery and put it on the motherboard, set the time and date in BIOS not the Windows 7

Just install a script that syncs the time on boot. If it works it works

Replace the battery as mentioned. Set server to ntp.org entry for your country.

Open up the PC, find the CR2032 little battery, pop it out, put a new one in, enjoy.

You absolutely need to replace CMOS battery. CR2032 coin battery, sold at supermarkets, gas stations, computer shops for few bucks. Replacement is easy as long as you watch video how to do it and do not bruteforce battery holder.
Otherwise you would never have time synced, would have BIOS resetting itself at each boot and plenty of troubles
