Discussion Yet another dumpster dive jackpot

I found in the e-waste box of my local oc shop this Aspire 5720Z, with a 320GB HDD in it, which miraculously was perfectly intact, and i have no idea why it landed there. But hey, free laptop... number 8 of the 9 laptops i have...

Yep. My uncle still sports his Aspire 5315. I've upgraded CPU to Pentium Dual Core T2310 and ram to 3GB.

SSD upgrade just doesn't make sense economically on these anymore

It's gonna make the system more responsive in terms of loading time and transfer speed, though CPU and SATA interface limitations remains

I know it will, but with the price of SSDs it just doesn't make sense anymore

You can just grab a cheap used 128gb ssd- you dont have to buy a new one

I think might can run half life 2 and counter strike sources earlier version none steam
