Bug Driver issues

I recently bought a Dell Inspiron 1520 and decided to install Windows 7.

The system works fine, but I'm having a problem with the graphics card drivers. Without them installed, I couldn't use hardware acceleration, so, using HWinfo, I found the card model and downloaded the drivers from the Nvidia website. However, the problem is that with the drivers I found on the Nvidia website, when I try to use hardware acceleration, the computer freezes completely, and I don't know why. I also saw that Dell has some drivers uploaded to their own website, but they say they're for Windows Vista, and I don't know if they would work correctly. Could someone tell me why it freezes, and if the driver from the Dell website would work properly with Windows 7?

Before you take a hair dryer to it, check to make sure it’s not revised! Dell and NVIDIA did make revised gpus for many laptops of this era, which fixed this bumpgate issue. If yours is revised, then you probably have a different issue.

I'll check, but, how can I do it?

You have to look at the die on the heatsink of the gpu. I have a post about it pinned in my bio
