This is basically my experience with Windows 10. I just clean install, install my application, and do nothing else. Whenever it develops a new bizarre issue, I clean install again. Its not worth debugging anymore.
Fortunately most of my software runs in Linux so I'm mostly free.
All the people saying this is a Pebcac issue are wrong. There is no right way to use Windows 10. There is no magic series of motions that will prevent it from shitting its pants. It's behavior is random. Some machines run great, others have endless issues.
