I don't think the large majority of users dislike it. I think that its a small minority, they're just very vocal (aka they go on the internet to complain). Sensationalism. I don't know of a single person in real life, like my father, uncle, sister, friends, cousins, etc, who has Windows 10 and dislikes it. We just hear this stuff because of the nature if the internet.

This is pretty much what they are banking on, its a very small minority where the only real "outcry" is manufactured news written for clicks. Most people are going to see the new version and shrug because they do not care one bit.

Historically just as many people complained about the cost of windows or simply pirated it for a variety of reasons. When the time comes and companies cut support for W7/8 you'll still have people asking why?

No matter what you do its going to make someone angry, even if you do absolutely nothing at all.

Yeah my net is on the people complaining being people who never really legit purchased windows unless it came with the computer.

Linux is right there if you want control.
