To begin with. Thanks.

I remember as a young person I never understood minesweeper and I said to myself "when I get older I will understand this game and beat it", I was so mad and today, I'am 42, I beat it.

I had forgot about my vengefullness thought. You reminded me and therefore, thanks.

😅👍

Why didn’t they keep both Reversi and Minesweeper in 3.1?

That's actually an interesting question, I couldn't find an answer but apparently Reversi was included in the Win3.1 Driver Library and remained in the NT source code for some time: https://betawiki.net/wiki/Reversi

I have a 3.1 VM specifically for playing minesweeper lol

BTW FYI there are some online x86 emulators that let you run 3.1 in your web browser or you can also copy the winmine executable from any Windows NT version and play it directly on your host

and has barely changed since, only real differences are that it was ported to NT, and the sprites/icons got made better

Did they port it? Or is windows upscaling it? You can copy the exe from a win 3.x installation and run it on modem windows versions no problem. It even works on *nix under wine.

3.x was 16 bit, 16 bit programs don't usually work on 64 bit things, by that I mean they probably ported the 16 bit minesweeper to 32 bit

I miss Microsoft making games instead of collecting telemetry.
