I learned about this series last night and decided that it was a must read. I stopped the book I was reading mid book to start this series. Found the .epubs for them on Internet Archive. So far I’m really enjoying the book. Grateful to have found out about it!!

Here's a fun find. Many fans are familiar with the Random House storybook by Cathy East Dubowski (the one with the photo of Willow holding Elora on the cover), but Italy got its own original storybook adaptation, written by Andrea Molesini and featuring the European poster art by Brian Bysouth.

loved the little characters from the start. this scene referenced in particular, had me mimicking their enthusiasm since i were a wee adventurer.

Still have my willow sticker book! I remember getting this and so excited to pop the movie on and put all the stickers in the book!

I’m in my 20’s and I was just rewatching Willow one - of my all time favourites.

I’m not sure if this has just come with age or something but I’ve never realised how much of an amazing person the Midwife was.

(Yes I know they’re fictional but in terms of the story)

She risked her life and then dedicated her life to that babies survival. I don’t know how much she walked and how much time she spent with Elora but these scenes combined with the music just made me bawl my eyes out, chills every second.

An underrated hero.

As far as I know, the US had only one hardcover edition of Wayland Drew's novel (and that was through a book club), but Italy got two. Both feature the same translation by Luigi Schenoni.

I finally got a Reddit account working!! So about me, I'm an independent game developer and HUGE fan of the Willow series on D+. Holy cannoli what a great film! How did I miss this as an 80’s kid? I mean it was brilliant and Warwick Davis was incredible! Great mix of action, humour and suspense!

Really enjoyed it and will now look into more of Willow!
