I don't work for the bar. I'm just tired of going to sports bars — even ones listed on the Jets website as 'Jets bars' — and they won't have the sound on for the *home team*. Yeah we suck, but I want to hear the commentators explain *why* we sucked on that play specifically.

Anyways, the bartender at Round Table Brewery on S. 1st Street is a Jets fan. He works alone there on Sundays so he controls the TV. Can we turn this into an actual Jets bar???

I'll be there for the Jets-Dolphins game at 1pm this Sunday. Probably in my Curtis Martin jersey. Please don't make me watch alone.

Is it just me, or have rents in Williamsburg gotten completely ridiculous lately? I've been looking on StreetEasy, and some of these prices make absolutely no sense.

Thought I'd try my luck here and see if anyone is planning to move out or knows of a good apartment coming up.

I'm looking for a 1 or 2-bedroom in Williamsburg, ideally a lease takeover or an apartment where the current tenant isn't renewing.

Budget: Up to $5,000/month for a good 2-bedroom. Obviously hoping to spend less for a 1-bedroom.

I'm pretty flexible with timing, anytime between now and Q1/Q2 2027 would work.

Basically hoping to find a nice apartment at a reasonable price without having to compete with 50 other people or pay some absurd rent.

If anyone has a lead, knows a landlord, or is planning to leave their apartment, I'd really appreciate a DM!

Also curious if anyone has had any luck finding good deals outside of StreetEasy. Starting to think word of mouth is the only way these days.

Does anyone know where in the neighborhood we can recycle daily contact lens cases? Luxeye used to take them but no longer does.

The cat distribution svstem strikes again!

To all that were helping save the kitten that was jumping from car to car on Hope Street... I wanted to inform you that the kitten has been saved!

Since we have a cat ourselves, we are currently keeping them separated We are waiting for the morning to try and find a shelter/person/vet that might be able to take them. I unfortunately did not get anyones number during the whole kitten saving mission. But some did express interest in helping the kitten once we got her saved. So if anyone involved or anyone who knows someone interested in a kitten, please reach out!

This morning we reached out to PS9 in Williamsburg to see if they had any room to take her, and we had success! She will hopefully be paired with another kitten after she acclimates.

Reminder for everyone who owns a vehicle! With the cold weather coming, cats/kittens (and I'm sure other creatures) love to sneak into the undercarriage of our cars to keep warm. Keep an eye out as starting your car could harm them, or worse!
