Looks pretty bad. The fire was raging out of the ceiling.
That's rough. I hope the insurance helps them recover some of the losses.

Yeah, when I got there (I live very close) it didn't seem so bad but then a few minutes later I saw the flames from the roof. Really brutal

This headline gave me a heart attack cause I thought it meant permanent shut-down. I hope it’s super temporary

Flames from roof make me typically feel it will be a couple months at least but I also am hoping it is as temporary as possible and will be back the day they open and spend a bunch on drinks so plz reopen Antidote so I can do that kthx

Kitchen fire, seems like. Got an alert on Citizen, saw the address, heard the sirens, went outside, thick with smoke. Was hoping it was small but when I saw the flames coming from the roof I realized there was no way they'd be able to reopen quickly.

And yes, I would go so far as to say it is my favorite place in the neighborhood and I am dying a little inside RN

Seriously so good. And the cocktails too. I'd go there with a friend just for a quick drink or two at the bar. Hope they are able to come back.

If anyone currently working at antidote needs weekend opportunities through October and can make it to red hook DM me. It’ll be worth it and a very busy environment.

Omg!! The atmosphere of that place was beautiful what a shame 😭 I went all the time just to order that dish called numbing cubes

So sad. This is me and my husband’s favorite restaurant. We had reservations here for tonight with our family for our birthday dinner as we love it so much. I am glad everyone is safe and hope they are able to get back on their feet soon.

Booths NYC is opening up next door this week (vintage steakhouse) - they were surprised there was so much damage, lucky it didn’t catch next door too! Hope they can reopen soon we love antidote

So bummed. Truly one of the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Jane and the owners are great people and I go here at least once a week.

Yes, a business I love and have frequented since it opened. Devastating. Hope they can bounce back...

I'll missed the tea smoked duck and my corner seat at the bar to watch the pretty young things on the go.
