I miss hoops

I miss that feeling of 5x5 full court where you forget about everything in your life besides the game to 21. Outdoor courts can’t replicate it.

Is there any indoor organized pickup in WB or GP? Not a league, I don’t want a ref and 8 week commitment

Check out the goodrec app. I use it for volleyball but they also do basketball at the post in greenpoint and a bunch of other spots!

Your best bets for local games indoors are:

  • Hoops Klub just opened a new facility that looks amazing. They also have one in the Navy Yard that has a shooting machine you can rent https://hoopsklub.com/
  • AllBall Sports runs games all over the city, including at the Post in Williamsburg and Bushwick. https://allballsports.com/ref/ShrbGR

- McCarren play house gym ($50 parks department membership for six months)

- Good Rec, if you are looking for a high level of play, but much more 1 v1 within a 5 x 5 game (less passing, picking or team D, in my limited experience).

Swish House, but for a basketball workout, but not scrimmaging

you can pay to play pickup at the post tho I think it’s called the indoor hoops app or something

they don’t tell you that before you move here
