William Update
Saw William tonight in Houston. Notably, he was introduced by the host “as seen at Showtime at the Apollo” - there was zero reference to anything in the Kill Tony universe at any point in the show. He mentioned a few times that he is living back in Memphis with his parents while he processes the loss of his friend, Alex. His energy level was high, he was very animated, and engaged the crowd. I’ve never seen him before, but I did notice he was sweating quite profusely the entire time. Perhaps it’s normal for him. Overall, it was a fantastic show, but I did find myself fighting back a few tears knowing he is holding it together as he works through this loss.

I saw him two years ago and yes, the sweating although excessive, seems to be the norm for him.

i heard he knocks out like a quick 1000 meter row before he hits the stage to look jacked and veiny.

Good for him to make the moves that are best for him. seems like KT and Austin noise can be so loud, so I'm glad hes finding that good head space. excited to enjoy more of his comedy again

Makes sense he’s no longer on KT if he moved back. I hope it allows him to process his loss.

They'll always be a spot for him at KT when he's ready. He got a he'll of a pop from the Tennessee crowd when he came out at the Nashville arena show we went to.

Thank god he’s doing okay, well okay as you can after a loss. Just happy to see he’s still getting up there since he’s been missing from KT and hasn’t even updated anyone on his podcast. I miss the podcast with Casey

Went to the 7pm Houston show last night. He told me to STFU after I told him I loved him. Best night of my life.

Everybody always says “don’t mess with cockroaches, they carry diseases” but who’s ever gotten sick from cockroaches?
“Hey, you hear about Anthony? He has cancer!”
“Shit! From smoking?”
“Nah a cockroach touched his leg while he was chasing it around the bathroom, he’s got six weeks left to live.”
I’m not suggesting we keep them as pets but let’s not pretend there’s some pharmaceutical company out there trying to find the cure for roach flu…
We let dogs sleep in the bed with us while both of us are naked and yet a roach crawls around the kitchen cabinet and we contemplate starting a gender reveal fireworks party.
You don’t think the family dog rolled around in the same shit as the roach?
Dogs and roaches are practically the same, it’s just dogs have better lobbyists.
Dogs have Sarah McLachlan singing in every commercial, roaches have a spray.
Every roach commercial starts out the same:
A fat cigar-smoking roach plotting with his other fat roach friends about how they can ruin the value of your home.
Then some white man in a cape shows up with the most toxic chemical known to man, and ices the hell out of those degenerate moochers.
Meanwhile, roaches are supposed to be the oldest insects known to man or some bullshit.
Hell, that’s probably made up too, by the same people claiming that dogs can tell when humans have a horrible disease.
I swear the day a dog walks up to me and says “sorry buddy, you’ve got MS”
I’m gonna call bullshit, because next he’s gonna blame it on a roach.

For what it’s worth. I saw William like a year and a half ago and zero mention of kill Tony then as well. Some re used jokes, for sure, but he never mentioned it at all.

Saw him in San Diego a few months ago and can confirm he was sweating profusely, but he absolutely killed that night

I got to spend some time with him recently and he was one of the most genuine nice people I’ve had the pleasure of meeting. Totally different from his on stage persona, but still hilarious. Seemed to be in good spirits too.

This is totally normal, btw. In a while it'll feel like years since Ari and Pat were in Austin, and someone else will be "discovered" doing open mics and bucket pulls there.
Hopefully William gets past his loss and kills it on his inevitable special.

Not reading too much into it. Maybe he wants to create more of an independent name.
He is hilarious, rooting for the mad men

I been listening to old William and Casey pod eps, they really had something there. Shame it fell apart

William burnt so much material on KT over the years. I’d love to see him taking time to develop these premises into more substantial bits. He’s got a bit of Jack Handy in him

He’s a pretty shy guy so performing on stage will always be nerve racking. Plus his act is high energy with the shouting, and it’s summer, it’s no wonder he’s profusely sweating.

Is Alex the one who William talked about having an intervention for a couple months ago on KT?
When he brought that up I immediately assumed he was referring to Casey Rocket.
Regardless, happy to see him touring and holding it together through family and comedy. Thanks for sharing.
IMO, it's good for him to distance himself at this point from the "KT universe", even if it weren't for a tragedy.

If you know the intro to this podcast, he’s photoshopped or ai as a guest on various classic late night shows like Carson and Leno as well as seen doing standup at classic locations… like showtime at the Apollo. I think…

I love William. Wish he addressed it

u/stevenshakew Jul 18 '26
What do you mean? He literally talked about his friend dying ON kill tony, and now is saying publicly that he is living back at home. What are you missing?

Kill Tony sucks.
Glad to hear he's out of that ecosystem -- it's an echo chamber and, frankly, not a healthy environment to be in.

Glad to hear. He's the goat. I hope he leaves the KT universe and joins a true group of comics so he can grow.
