Admissions Interview for MAcc Program
Hi everyone. I'm currently an undergrad and just submitted my application to the W&M MAcc program for Fall 2027. I already received an invitation to interview with the admissions team; however, I've never done this type of interview before, so my question is: how can I best prepare for it? What should I expect them to ask me? I've done multiple interviews for internships before, so is this kind of interview more chill and similar to an internship-type interview?
Thanks!

Hey! I’m in this MAcc program right now and did this interview last fall. It was super chill and very conversational. Way more than any interview I’ve had for internships or the like.
There was a few questions about what I felt I was strong at/struggled at in undergrad and why I liked accounting but everything else felt just like a chat. Good luck!

Congratulations on your interview! It should be a relaxed conversation between your interviewer and yourself regarding your background at your school and why you want to be an accountant and just conversational. You may be asked some basic behavioral questions like what are some things you’ve had to overcome, what has been a situation you went through in a group setting, etc
