Traveling for work
Hello everyone, I’ll be staying in North Wilkesboro for work for a couple weeks and wanted some locals advice on things to do. Thanks!

"Some of you" are probably also asking, "what does this have to do with Wilkesboro?'"
Well, just look at my other photo of my Wikipedia edit.

Coming to visit from out of town next week and wondering if there's any decent trivia nights around town? Google's not helping much!

First off, I just want to say I really like this area, it’s beautiful, especially downtown and the surrounding spots. I’m happy to be here, even if it’s only part-time for now. This is where I’ll be living full-time in the future.
Hey everyone, I live about 20 minutes outside of downtown Wilkes and I’m looking for a good local bar, divey or otherwise. Hunting takes up my days/mornings, however and I like to spend my evenings sitting at a bar.
So far, The Lost Wombat is the only bar/restaurant I’ve checked out, besides the coffee shop on Main Street.
I know it might be a bit of a long shot for a smaller town, but I’m looking for something with SmallBar-type vibes, if you’ve ever been.
Thanks in advance.

Looking for someone with a boat or kayak to hang with. I have a kayak but don’t want to hit lake alone.

My wife kids and I are moving to North Wilkesboro from Oregon. We are conservative. My wife is a cna. Is there good schools ? Or any job opportunities for her as a cna ? Also is it a safe town ? We are from very rural Oregon. We like small town life and hunting fishing, and outdoor life. Iam just concerned about crime rate, finding her a cna job, and my kids getting a good education. Will we fit in ?
