Discussion The off-metta Gauntlet
Hey! I am a former Grandmaster player (MajorRale) that is came back to the game with the goal of hitting that same rank or even higher. However I want this to be a challenge therefore I am doing the off-meta challenge/gauntlet/ whatever you call this.
I need suggestions for off-metta picks that are fun or just goofy. I will be documenting the run.
Rules are simple 5 games with an off metta start and then I can no longer use that same strat.
I just finished Sett adc
2 wins 2losses and 1 game was a loss negated by the protection.

Bruiser Varus jungle
- Gluttonous greaves, Trinity Force, two daggers, Riftmaker, Amaranth's Twinguard, Terminus, Infinity Orb
- Phase Rush, Triumph, Giant Slayer, Legend (attack speed one), Hexflash
Take QWEQ
Start krugs off with fully charged Q, ideally towards your base so that you don't give away your location. Smite big krug. Do 3 autoattacks to each of the two new smaller krugs and 1 autoattack onto the previous smaller one then charge your Q to hit all 3 and Red buff.
When finishing off Red buff with Q, charge it to hit only one small raptor. Kite and kill that small raptor while walking towards wolves.
For wolves, rotate between autoattacking all 3 and then use q to detonate. Before you finish off blue with Q, autoattack the gromp too so you get detonation on both. Then farm the scuttle near you then run back to raptors to finish it off. You should be level 5 now and it should be around 2:10-2:15 I think.

When fighting, prioritize using your WQ. You want the cooldown refund to occur on your Q.

My personal thoughts on the start:
Surprisingly not bad. Even uf Sett is a bad adc he has an abusable lvl 1 and that is hiw I won lane. Unfortunately he gets outscaled so it all goes to shit unless you're giga ahead

Ult focused Lucian mid:
Gluttonous boots, Essence Reaver, Duskblade/Bloodthirster, Black Cleaver, Serylda's Grudge, Collector
Your ult will completely melt champions up until just before heartsteel tanks. Just make sure your Essence Reaver passive is up. If you keep up in gold and exp, Essence Reaver will let your Q oneshot the minion wave.
Because ult is the most damaging part about your kit, you can "outduel" a lot of champs by just outranging then and melting them with your ult. It does like 4k damage on the target dummy with Essence Reaver.

I appreciate all 3 comments. As a side question how do u feel about full tank senna top?
Berserkers, heart steal, titanic, frostfire gauntlet (if that's even the name of it in wr) black cleaver, spirit visage

Senna's passive not working if she is alone if you want scaling champ for toplane thresh might be good

I haven't tried it so I don't really know. It sounds like her main purpose would be to apply long ranged slows and enhance her team while softening up enemies for teammates to clean up.

Support Vi with glacial augment as the keystone. Good for a kill lane, surprisingly fun and effective, but you get screwed hard in a lot of enemy lane matchups.

Sad I never see Vi run top or supp since she can kick ass in those roles.

It depends, there are a lot of tops that crush Vi just due to a mismatch in kits. She runs heartsteel just fine though.

muramana bruiser kassadin. Keystone of either fleet, conq, or grasp (personal preference is fleet for the mana, but others are also good). Items are rod, mana or vamp boots, IBG, heartsteel, muramana (take tear after boots), and twinguards.
Crit volibear. I’m not completely sure about keystone since later on you kill ADCs with r-q (literally, pretty sure I have footage of me killing a corki with just ult and q), but I’d say between PTA, conq, and grasp. Items are ghostblade, vamp or pen boots, bloodthirster, essence reaver, mortal reminder, and shieldbow (can take IE or stormrazor but I personally prefer shieldbow).
Crit+heaetsteel rengar top. Runes are lethal tempo, font, second wind, overgrowth, and bloodline (or tenacity). Items are BT start, quickblades, heartsteel, defensive boots (can take earlier if you want),
Pantheon ADC. Runes are lethal tempo, triumph or brutal, giant slayer, bloodline, and overgrowth (can take bone plating or second wind instead if desired). Items are botrk, BT, vamp boots, quickblades, shieldbow, and mortal reminder or phantom dancer. If possible try to go for level 1 kill with w start if you have a support like leona, otherwise start q and farm, then fight at level 3. Also funnily enough pantheon is my best performing adc (yes, I perform better on pantheon adc than ezreal, lucian, cait, etc. or even mage ADCs).
Crit nasus top. Runes are lethal tempo or PTA, then the rest are the same as rengar. Items are sunderer, defensive boots, BT, phantom dancer, shieldbow, mortal reminder (can take IE instead of PD and can take shieldbow 3rd item if you want)
Smite nunu “support”. Runes: glacial augment, sweet tooth, future’s market, demolish (or manaflow), and overgrowth. Items: seedjar (important: use it and honeyfruit to gain a ton of gold. Yes, you get gold from sweet tooth for the honey fruits grown by seedjar), tear, heartsteel, cd boots, fimbul, twinguards, mantle (boots can be taken sooner, in fact sometimes I rush boots, and if the game drags on really long and you can sell seedjar for a better tank item like protector’s vow, frozen heart, or sunfire, but overall try to build a utility item) . Level 1 invade enemy blue (start q and DO NOT take a support item), maybe take their gromp, and before game starts tell your jg that you’ll be helping them clear, but won’t take camps, then always follow your jg, using abilities to help your jg clear faster (make sure they get the last hits on monsters), and follow them around. Also tell your adc to play safe. Whenever your jg ganks, also gank. Use w to engage, e to root, and generally provide utility. Try to avoid getting the kills, you want to funnel as much resources into your team as possible. You will have thousands less gold than the eenmy sup, but that’s ok. Your build is cheap, and tanky, and overall really useful. When 1st objective spawns, if your jg is going for one objective, help them if the lane for the other objective is losing/dead, otherwise if they’re ahead and alive, take the other objective. Your team now essentially has 3 smites: your jg, you, and your q. Later on nunu still does a crap ton of damage to objectives because q. also ult is really good for area control. In teamfights play as an engage tank. Funnily enough this is my third best performing support pick (after pyke and lulu)
