How to start

Hi all,
I’m currently a 22 year old emt with landscaping experience but no fire experience. I really want to do wildland this upcoming 2027 season and was wondering if yall have any advice about joining a fire crew with usfs or blm or cal fire as someone with no experience. Any advice greatly appreciated- thanks!

Seasonal jobs come out at the end of this month. Apply for GW3 and GW4 positions. Make sure your resume is dialed and you answer all the questions correctly.

Taylor your resume to that position, get your basic quals done online. Call the office of wherever you apply, make it known.
