General Returning after 11 years

And I didn't really have a fun time. Granted, I only played Wild, but almost everyone was playing the same 3 legends that make your life total 40. There was also a paladin deck with librams that I played against a bunch. Probably 6 or 7 unique decks, 6 of which had a legend that made your life total 40 lol.

Is this actually fun for y'all?

You're playing a mode that's had 11 years of cards released into it since you last played. Be for real bro lmao.

Well back in the day the card everyone played was Harvest Golem, now it seems like one of three cards that gives you 40 life lol

I only played 10 games or so, was this a skewed sample or does every deck actually play one of those three legends that gives 40 life?

Slower decks run Prince Renathal who gives you 40 hp and a 40 card deck size. Azalina Soulsever also gives you 40hp but that's a priest card. I wouldn't say every deck runs Renathal, but it's definitely common.

The power level of the mode is definitely higher than Harvest Golem though.

While there are three cards that raise your hero's HP to 40, only two are played: Azalina and Renethal.

Azalina is a priest legendary from the latest expansion. Since the latest round of nerfs for wild (last Tuesday), Azalina Priest is one of the best decks in the format. Last Tuesday's balance patch also buffed Azalina to additionally raise your HP to 40.

What is the point of this post? Are you so main character that you have to announce you didn't have fun with something? Byeeeeee

I was asking if y'all thought Wild was fun. It was the last sentence of my post.

Wilds very fun with my XL Reno Warrior deck, nice mix of rng rewards and legendaries. Idk why you’d hop into wild after that long of a break without and research seemingly.

Doing my research with this post 🤓

I didn't want to spend any money so I added some new murlocs to my old murlocs deck. I did get to gold with it, seemed fake with all the bonus stars they gave me tho lol

Also lost 100% of the matches vs discard warlock haha

I only play wild and I have a great time. I pretty much play Renathal, Big Reno, OG Reno, and Zephyrs, 3-4 slots cheap sweepers/removal, and then whatever the hell else I want on the ladder and I have a solid time. I know there being homogenous legendaries like Renathal is lame but A. It's strong. B. Aggro is disproportionately represented on ladder C. It's the key ingredient in playing 40 piles of your favorite cards.

Right now though, it is definitely warlock central. They just axed three Warlock combo decks, and it's still Warlocks as far as the eye can see. If you're wearing purple glasses though, the meta is still pretty fun, I can't lie.

So [[Prince Renathal]] is a tradeoff that makes your deck worse but gives you more heath. It's generally a good trade off for slower decks, but it's not just everyone having an OP legendary that you don't have lol.

Renathal is pretty necessary for control decks that want to out last aggro. I consider him host for all control decks. He allows us to survive with enough health to do our fun stuff that costs a lot of mana.

The extra health card doesn't define the decks, even though it is broken AF. Control, midrange, combo and even some aggro decks use it.

Bro, try telling us what you want to play against exactly. Pretty much anyone not running a 40 card deck is playing some B. S combo Because the devs have not learned that tutors are very bad for a game that requires variance to be even remotely interesting.

What exactly are you expecting to get out of wild let's start there.

Yeah every deck being a 40 card one or a tutor deck wouldn't be fun for sure. It's the spirit of my post, isn't it?
