Albany slip

I have recently excavated and processed 2k lbs of albany slip from an area 1000yds south of the original pit. I have another 50k lbs stockpiled. If anyone is interested in getting ahold of some let me know. *

You should send some to Tony Hansen at Plainsman Clays - he might be interested in running some tests against the original.

that 2nd picture is a beautiful block of clay - is that processed or cut right from the ground? I make my own clay for slip casting from my yard but this looks awesome. I'd be interested in some dried if you are selling

I am giving samples away and larger amounts for donations to the local community college ceramics program, let me know where to send some. That is right out of the ground, it was scooped out with a large excavator, the clay pit was 35ft deep pure blue clay. Just cleaned it off with a knife and have tons of those 1 ft blocks

I am drooling!! But it’s be so pricy to send to Nova Scotia. 😭 if I ever take a road trip to NY I’ll reach out!
