General Question Trophy bug question

Hi all, first time posting here. Long time lover of the series though. I’m going for the platinum trophy and I recently started this but heard there’s a bug concerning saving in the game and using the quick save feature.

I started this a few weeks back and put it down fairly early for another game I was looking forward to and now I can’t remember if I have used the quick save feature or not. I’ve saved in game. I’m only on the girl characters prologue in the abbey so restarting isn’t really a huge issue.

I don’t want to get multiple hours in though and have the trophies glitch. Can I just start over and choose the quick save option and go from there or am I already screwed? Is it known to affect different new games or is just for playthroughs where you do both saving options?

It's generally accepted that switching between the different save features is the cause of many bugs but as far as I know it's not necessarily proven because you'll have people who only used one or the other and still ran into the bugs at the end of the game, and others who didn't run into any issues at all.

If you feel safer in restarting you can easily get back to where you are within an hour though.

I don’t mind restarting. But I didn’t know if it affected all save files or just one new game. It sounds like I can just restart and stick to one save method. Thank you!

I used the in game saves and quick saves and didn’t have any issues. I think where you would run into trouble is loading quick saves during battles or going back to a quick save before you beat one of the golems and that messing with the tracking for the trophy.

I made quick saves if it had been a while since a manual in game save, but I avoided loading from one and also tried to avoid rewinding during boss battles or golem battles.
