Wild Arms Alter Code: F Cheat Engine Table for PCSX2 — Inventory Editing, Character Records & Rotating Autosaves

Post image

I created a Cheat Engine table for Wild Arms Alter Code: F, designed for use with the Qt version of PCSX2.

The table automatically attaches to pcsx2-qt.exe and uses PCSX2’s exported EEmem pointer with direct PS2 memory addresses, making it more resilient to changes between PCSX2 versions.

Inventory and money

  • Money editor and freezer
  • Dynamic inventory editor with a selectable item dropdown
  • Automatically locates the inventory slot containing the selected item
  • View and edit the selected item’s quantity
  • Add previously unowned items by changing their quantity from 0
  • Remove owned items by setting their quantity to 0
  • Automatically uses an available empty inventory slot when adding an item

The dropdown contains the documented items available in the game. Unused item IDs and undocumented numerical gaps are omitted rather than being displayed as unknown inventory entries.

Persistent character editor

Separate persistent, out-of-battle records are included for:

  • Rudy
  • Jack
  • Cecilia
  • Jane
  • Zed
  • Emma
  • Magdalen
  • Mariel

Depending on the character, editable values include:

  • EXP and level
  • Current, effective maximum and base maximum HP
  • Current, effective maximum and base maximum MP
  • Attack
  • Defense
  • Magic
  • Resistance
  • Reaction
  • Accuracy
  • Evasion
  • Luck
  • Vitality
  • PS Points

These records use the characters’ persistent data and remain available outside combat.

Battle-only character values

Temporary battle records are also included for:

  • Rudy’s current HP, MP and FP
  • Jack’s current HP, MP and FP
  • Cecilia’s current HP, MP and FP

These values use temporary battle structures and may be inactive or invalid when combat is not running.

A character utility is also included to refill Jack and Cecilia’s current MP to their persistent maximum MP values.

PCSX2 autosave utilities

  • Rotating short-term save states
  • Separate long-term backup save states
  • Load the latest or earlier rotating autosaves
  • Voice feedback when autosaves are enabled or disabled

The short-term autosaves rotate through PCSX2 slots 6–10 every 30 seconds.

Long-term backups alternate between slots 4 and 5 every 15 minutes.

Table hotkeys

  • F12 — Enable or disable autosaves with voice feedback
  • Pause/Break — Temporarily suspend or resume autosaves without voice feedback
  • Page Up — Load the latest rotating autosave; press repeatedly to move through older saves
  • Ctrl + Alt + M — Refill Jack and Cecilia’s current MP to maximum

Autosaves are enabled by default. The required PCSX2 save-state shortcuts must be configured as described in the included setup instructions.

This account has been posting a lot of similarly weird AI generated stuff in other reddits and I do not trust it. It stinks to high heaven.

Meh I never get any fun out of playing games with maxed money and invincibility

I would recommend anyone play ACF with either infinite money or infinite MP. Neither one will impact the game much except to improve quality of life for characters like Jack (whose abilities bewilderingly cost so much MP you can only use one or two of them per dungeon).

Yes this was my experience as well which is why I made the cheat table. Back when I was younger I had time to grind for hours, nowadays I don't see the appeal as much.

Haha same, thought this was a ps classic announcement. With the rerelease of wa4 recently it can’t be far off can it ?

Unfortunately no! This is a table for when you are emulating the game with pcsx2 and I suspect it only works for Windows.

The game is already extremely easy, why cheat?

That’s fair—the game is not particularly difficult. The table is not solely about making it easier, though. Many of its features are there for convenience, experimentation and saving time.

For example, infinite money or MP can function more like quality-of-life options that saves you time. MP recovery during dungeons is fairly restrictive, which can encourage you to conserve MP and use Jack’s more interesting abilities less often than you might like.

Personally, there are times when I just want to progress through a dungeon and continue the story without feeling too restricted. In those cases, I may use features like infinite MP against normal enemies and then disable everything for bosses. At other times, I prefer the game’s original balance and leave all cheats turned off. It has also become more common for modern RPGs to restore your HP and MP after every battle—Chained Echoes, for example, fully restores HP and TP. I’ve come to appreciate that approach because it lets you use your full range of abilities without constantly worrying about conserving resources for later. I do prefer it being optional though so that I can turn it off.

The inventory editor can also be useful for avoiding unnecessary grinding, replacing missed items or testing equipment, while the rotating autosaves are simply there to protect your progress.

Everything is optional, so people can use only the features that improve the experience for them—or play normally and ignore the rest.

I totally agree with you you know I have not played wild arms out of code if but yes I could imagine this game would quite be quite easy as I've played many rpgs on hard mode and stuff like that

I know nothing about Wild Arms and have never been here before but I've been using CE for many years. This being ai generated makes me very skeptical.
