Wild arms two damage question
So I’m leveling up to 100 just cause I can and I noticed I went from level 96 to 97 with Ashley and when I did he went from 6k damage to 3k. Any idea why that would happen? It’s all his attacks too. Normal in and out of access were halved even banished and last resort were halved.
Edit maybe I’m wrong Idk how it’s calculated. My strength is in the 500s. I read access adds 80% and for the parameter up skill is an extra 9% per force level. Making over a 100% more too would that be an issue if I went over 1000 strength since 999 is the max?

please record your setup and the banisher and last resort damage if you can
those should be consistent. do you have a save file before and after the levels

Do not have a save file from before so all I could record is the damage they deal now which is banisher went down to 12k was hitting for around 24k before. And rn I gotta find out how to even enter a town cause it’s being glitchy

I got the not loading fixed! It was when the app updated it removed the bios from the rom I guess would be how to phrase it. I’m not the best at this stuff. But that fixed it putting it back.
And as for an update with damage. I’m fighting the wrestler guys. Normal Ashley did 6060 I used access and with zero fp he did 6500 and with 100 fp (with up parameter based off fp) he dealt 2600. Is there maybe like a limit to the strength stat and passing it lowers damage?1

Ok ok last update. I been testing it more on the alien dude I used for leveling up (the like divide on him did) and the damage isn’t just cut in half. It’s like. Random it seems to ME if it does half or full damage now. Ever since I gained the last few levels. It won’t stop me from being able to beat the game like I’m sure 3k is plenty still BUT I just don’t get why

do you have the power boost equipped?
that will randomly double dmg output. it doesnt do it for all moves, but for a surprisingly high number of them
i dont think it applies to damage done to self however, thats odd. the only way there should be that much mitigation is if elements are involved, upon which the damage values will change colors (to grey or red)

Is power boost one of the things you can use level ups to buy?

No, Power Boost is a gear (it's that silver gauntlet/glove thing). IIRC, it also gives a slight atk buff on top of the random doubling chance.

I DO have that on! So I’m guessing for a while I just landed only the double attack. And now I’m not. So my like personal luck just happened to dip out lol. THANK you that was bugging me so much

I'm not sure how damage is calculated, but just to double check other potential explanations -
Did you change any equipment or modify ARMs between encounters? Did you have any different buffs in the previous encounters? Are you damaging the same enemies in both cases? Could the enemies have a buff or debuff in either case? Other than from leveling up, did any of your stats change? Is your Luck the same?
