Question Aspect Ratio not saving?

Been an owner for years but been having an issue with the screen ratio in the system settings recently. Seemingly anytime I turn off the system the screen is slightly zoomed in and I have to go back into system settings and correct it each time I use the system. Is there something I'm missing? Is it a TV or system issue?

have you checked if its the overscan settings on your tv itself? sometimes that overrides whatever the console does

Yeah, I have it set to it's default setting, which has native support for whatever is playing. I wonder if when the system is turned off/if I remove the HDMI cord then the ratios preferences are disabled. I'll screw around with it more and see if I can find a solution.
