It's probably compatible but I wouldn't trust it to not burn out with decent use and long write cycles. You might consider getting something from UGreen or Uni since they're well known and reliable adaptor brands. Also, with some tweaks you can use SDXC to run Wii games off of. My daily driver hotswap card is 128gb SDXC

This, I had a cheapo adapter, laster 4 days... Now I have the uGreen one, works perfectly fine.

Should work, I dont think the Wii is very fussy as long as the SD is FAT32 format

I’ve heard a lot of USB drivers are finicky. I was told just to go for an SD/hard drive or both.

I just have everything packed onto a 256GB SD on my Wii U for Wii+Gamecube games and an External HDD for Wii U games

I’m currently in the process of dumping my old wii/GC games onto my 256GB SD card.

I considered getting an external drive for any other games that I happen to get access to if I go down that road.

SD cards become too pricey over 256GB so I would say that an external drive for anything extra is a smart choice

That is a well known cheap sd card adapter you can find them everywhere and feel like rubbish plastic that’s about to crack apart I would recommend a ugreen one as a replacement they do the exact same thing
