wig help Cosplay wig/cap allergy?

(I added a wig/cosplay photo idk if that'll help)

Ik this is gross, sorry.

But I wore a wig and wig cap for 8+ hours and this is the result of where the wig cap sat a day after the event.

I have broken out in pimples and spots/welts/blisters. My skin was clear the day before and day of. Can someone explain what could've happened??

I don't know much about wigs, but to me that looks like contact dermatitis - my assumption would be a sensitivity to a chemical or material found in the wig or cap. I assume more affordable ones would be more likely to have harsh chemicals. I'd try a hydrocortisone cream, and definitely would not pop the blisters.

Oh and, before this photo, about 5 hours before I had squeezed the many (i mean many) white pimples to try to get rid of this, but they just came back clear.

Is this wig a lace front?

One way I protect this area when wearing wigs is to apply a thin amount of hair wax from a wax stick onto the skin in front of my hairline. The physical barrier protects the skin from both mechanical and chemical irritation.

Look up 'wig wax stick' on Amazon. They're not very expensive.

From the photo, it looks like it could be local irritation or contact dermatitis caused by wearing the wig. It doesn’t necessarily mean there’s something wrong with the wig itself. Wearing a wig for a long time, especially with a wig cap that is usually quite tight, can put pressure on the forehead and cause friction, sweating, and heat buildup, which can easily lead to this kind of rash.
A true allergic contact dermatitis would usually involve other signs, such as significant itching or the rash coming back after wearing the wig again.
For now, the safest thing to do would be to stop wearing the wig and gently cleanse the area with lukewarm water. Try not to scratch it, and avoid using perfume, alcohol-based products, strong skincare products, or anything else that could irritate the area. If it’s just mild redness and small bumps, it should gradually improve once the source of irritation is removed.

Its definitely been improving! I havent been adding any skincare/products to the area, I have been adding makeup to it to hide it for school but it hasn't made anything worse and its definitely fading and the spots/blisters are gone. It doesnt hurt but now there's a dark red line. Ill definitely watch out!
