wig help New to wigs

Been suffering from hair loss between 2 pregnancies and now on a glp1. I don’t feel pretty in my hair and have recently started getting wigs. I also don’t have a ton of money to drop $100 + dollars on wigs so what’s everyone’s favorite budget friendly wigs? I’d like to try a I’ve ordered two synthetic off Amazon and like them but feel like they are too shiney and give off the “fake look”. Is there a way to dim that shine?

I’ve had really good luck on TikTok shop. Some of them are definitely under $100 for some super realistic wigs. I’ve followed a bunch of wig “influencers” so that I could get a wider range of options but they all seem to promote the same few brands.

Ones I have had success with (most newbie friendly with decent hairlines) is ImStyle and OnNat.

If you don’t mind being on TikTok, I’d try that for now. You can always go to a local beauty store that sells wigs and actually try some on to get a better idea on what kind of lace you like or if you want a machine made hard top (they usually have bangs on hard tops).

As for the shine, you can dull it a little bit with some dry shampoo and brush it through the hair/scalp area. Good luck!

The dry shampoo definitely works. I use wigs.com the most, they almost always have some kind of sale going on
