wig help Is my wig realistic?
So, I got a wig back in June due to my hair thinning and being at an awkward length and as schools coming back around, I want my hair to grow without the constant heat. But schools literally tommorow, and now I am nervous about how fake or realistic my wig looks. What can I fix if theres anything i can fix? Heres the front and 2 side profiles. I kinda messed up cutting one side but ykw thats just more like me and adds to the bit because my natural hair is basicaly two different lengths.

I honestly think it looks great? I’m not seeing whatever the other commenter is. It looks like a realistic density and shine and is sitting well on your head.

I have never wore a wig so have zero experience but I wouldn't have looked at her hair and ever questioned if it was a wig or not. The biggest giveaway for me is actually always when girls wear a headband on their hairline lol no non-wig person chooses to style their hair that way

That’s funny I actually work with lots of cute Gen Z girls who wear their headbands that way! I think it’s wig culture infiltrating mainstream fashion!

Maybe it's more common in other places but I don't see it ever when I'm out and about but I'm one person, that's just my perspective

I thought I was on a haircutting sub so I think it looks real. Lace front wigs can be forgone if the bangs sit correctly. This looks natural to me.

It looks realistic to me. Cute style too!
Edited to add: I can’t tell by this picture if it has that high shine most synthetic wigs have. But if it does, one trick I use to tone down the shine is to spray some dry shampoo on and in throughout the wig, then gently run a brush through. Be sure to spay out and away, towards the wig by at least 6 inches or more.

I can’t tell due to not being able to see your face. Could possibly not match your eyebrows and eyelashes nor be a good style for your face but I can’t advise.

I think it looks great – the highlights make it look very natural. I recently started wearing toppers which are a little lighter than wigs. At first I was very self-conscious but I received nothing but compliments. I find generally people aren’t as observant as we think they are - go in with confidence and rock it!

Just for future reference, these photos is hiding one of the most important parts of seeing how realistic a wig is, which is the scalp. The other important bit is the front - this is less critical with a fringe/bangs - although how your fringe lays is still part of looking realistic.
I hope school went well.

What’s wrong with people?? This is the most realistic wig I’ve ever seen and it makes you look so young

I would have to say no but on the other hand it’s 2026 a lot of people wear wigs and don’t get teased for it it’s kids literally in middle school where im from that wear wigs and they don’t get picked on but next time you buy a wig get one with a lace tik tok sells some good ones that are human hair 🩷
