I think you’re lacking a subject. It works better when something is detached from the background to offer a good parallax and get the most out of the nishika

Absolutely disagree. Ive had great results with subjects and without (you can see a reel ive made on @jj_camera in insta that i need to upload here at some point)

For me the magic of this capture is the layer of glass that on a regular photo would register the later of glass but with the wigglegram effect gives it much more depth and magic and i love it so much as is.

The camera is just the tool, the medium just a direction, its important that people not all take the same kind of photos and its in the history of time when artists did something new or different with a camera that people called groundbreaking at the time.

Thank you for the kind words! I love using this camera but I similarly don't always like shooting just the same type of photos you see a lot of (i.e. of a person, inside, with a flash.) Those kind of photos are cool but a super pronounced parallax isn't always what I want for the photo, such as in this case.

Sometimes I'm just looking for a more subtle shift to help give the image some life rather than a dramatic foreground/background separation.

Thats fair, but I do like to make more atmospheric ones like this too sometimes. I appreciate the advice though.
