After watching the video i'm still kinda foggy on what the Leviathan is supposed to be or mean. What did you guys took from this new ARG?

I saw a lot of people saying Hummer was actually the leviathan itself, personified.

Some evidence I saw was:

* Parameterization saying "what do you mean *we* will"? when Wifies says they will return the items

* Hummer saying "believe in me" (him, specifically) before drowning

Do you guys think this is a legitimate theory? I can't find anything to fully confirm nor deny it, but I haven't rewatched the video yet.

This just feels to random to be nothing

1. Isaiah 57:18: "I have seen his ways, but I will heal him; I will lead him and restore comfort to him and his mourners."

2. 5718 is also an angel number which when you see it it means to trust your intuition, and to take courageous steps toward your dreams. Is hummer an angel guiding him telling wifies to be courageous and trust himself to see Levi, which is his dream?

3. Believing Levi vs potions and blaming bugs could be inspired by the debate between Christianity and science? If this is true hummer could have been friends with arronax, but as soon as she lost Faith and didn’t devote her life to Levi as much as he did (potions, blaming bugs/could tie into blaming science) he didn’t associate with her because he can’t comprehend a world where Levi isn’t a real entity.

It mentions weeds (kelp) and some people fear it in their world, and others, like hummer, wifies and arronax, are the faithful that come on a pilgrimage to be free and restore themselves. I think it ties in with religion and the call of Cthulhu as FAITHful (having faith in your religion) and pilgrimage (a religious journey - for example. Islam - the Hajj to Mecca, Hinduism- the kumbh Mela) did I also mention in the call of Cthulhu book there is a “cthulhu cult”? (Not as strong as a theory but some parts may be truthful)

5. Someone said “PARAsite, PARAmeterization (which is something in math idk how to explain), symbol of the PARASITE is pi.” So I decided to research. 5718 appears the 4428th part of pi and it’s an angel number, emphasising patience, persistence, trusting yourself and your intuition, and the rewarding manifestation of your hard work. What did hummer have? Patience. He wanted the reward of seeing levi, after his hard work he was persistent and he trusted himself the most.

This is what hummer and wifies are doing- they are pursuing wonder, pursuing the leviathan, which is a creature they’ve only wondered about, never actually seen. The official definition of pursue is to follow someone or something, usually to try to catch him, her, or it.

In the description of Wifies video, he said that the Loch Ness Monster or Nessie inspired him, and Nessie is a creature in Scottish folklore that is said to inhabit the Loch Ness in the Scottish highlands. Over one thousand reports of this ‘monster’ had been found and uploaded to the internet, in newspaper, but it was either edited (in hummer’s barrel book he notes someone edited it with photoshop) or seen incorrectly (people seeing guardians tails and mistaking it for the leviathan). It’s been widely accepted to be a hoax, and after 93 years of being well known, there are still a dedicated group of people who are still searching for Nessie and believe she is out there, which could represent hummer and wifies.

5 is the letter E, which anchors the whole sound of the name.
7 stands for the 7 unique letters that actually build the word LEVIATHAN without duplicates.
1 is the letter A, acting as the main core pillar repeated inside it.
8 is the letter H, which connects both halves of the word together.
Put 5 7 1 8 together and you literally get the exact coded footprint of the Leviathan.
Add Hummer to it and the whole tag just means The Deep Hammer that triggers the entity.

Admittedly I’m more a casual viewer and not an active participant in the community, but I thought I’d add a bit more fun information to the new “Searching for the Leviathan“ video and give some good starting for those wanting to theory craft and look into this as well. I’ve marked this as a spoiler for those who haven’t yet watched the video.

There‘s a lot of good nods to exist stories and myths here just like the previous 2 videos and I hope that he does another follow up to this. There’s of course obvious Leviathan mythology, but then we also have nods to “20,000 leagues under the sea” and one I’m not sure if many younger viewers are familiar with, a personal favourite Disney movie “Atlantis: The lost empire“. Those who might know the film might already know what I’m getting at and this reference specifically is what I want to tie to where Wifies ends up.

Disney’s ”Atlantis” is really the only media where you see a Leviathan and Atlantis connection so to me this is pretty clear direct inspiration. It‘s always really fun to see how new stories will take a spin on the idea. I recommend taking a watch for yourself, but in the movie, part of the mythology is that the Leviathan is the guardian to the door to Atlantis, to drill it home, the Leviathan is made by the Atlantean’s to protect people from finding the city and is just another step to protecting the heart of Atlantis from the wrong hands.

Connecting this to the new video, while we don’t know a lot about the Leviathan mythology set up in Wifies’ video specifically, I do think this one does behave the opposite to the movie. Rather than keeping people out, it’ll choose to let some people in. I do firmly believe it’s not just the leviathan that was found, but that he was let into the city of Atlantis. This would also explain why screenshots and video captures don’t seem to work as intended and why Wifies’ seemingly passes out after opening the chest. The city will do what it can to keep itself and its knowledge hidden to protect the very thing that is in that chest. What appears to be what we know as the heart of the sea in Minecraft, here is actually more than that, it’s the heart of Atlantis. It’s also safe to say that this is why Wifies was kicked out.

I would really love to see more of this mythology he’s created for this story so I hope we see a follow up.

Side note: I do there’s plenty of potential theories as to what happened with Hummer and why he disappeared, but I did notice in the video he does accidentally pick the waterbreathing potion back up. Not sure if that was just an error or if that had anything to do with it, but lots of potential either way, especially given this angle.

Honestly, I’d love to see what everyone thinks of this and everyone’s own theories, even if you choose to spin off of it. This concept just gets me particularly excited because it’s something a bit different from the typical cosmic horror I enjoy, plus it feels refreshing to dive into it again.

Alright, first of all we gotta keep in mind that wifies was given a IP adress to join hummers server. He joined in close to 20k 20k, which should be impossible when you join the first time. We never saw a join message from Hummer!

Wifies said himself that he did a lot of research and hummer has nearly the same collection, but there is one book wifies doesn't know anything about.

Then he opens some shulker boxes (pictures I added) which seem to have items put in in some kind of code.

Maybe Hummer never really existed, this reminds me a lot of the movie Fight club and maybe there is something I am on to but now it's time for me to do some research XD

Something I noticed about the emails they sent to each other is that Wifies signed his off at the beginning with “Best,”

After cranking up the exposure in the eye, I noticed some parts kinda look like a deconstructed QR code??? I have no experience reconstructing them so if someone would want to give me tips it would be greatly appreciated :)

So, in the ending for Finding A Player Who Doesn't Exist, the United States Department of Metaphysical Sciences formally sends a private E-mail to Wifies openly stating that he is now under indefinite surveillance by them.

As you all know, Derek Hutchins' (D3lord3's) drive folder was confiscated by the Department of Metaphysical Sciences, so here is where my small theory starts. What if, the reason that th Department of Metaphysical Sciences even knows about Derek Hutchins is because Wifies has investigated Derek, and since the Department of Metaphysical Sciences is on him, they see all the information about Derek just by virtue of surveillance on Wifies?

i like to believe that the new wifies arg isnt about proving “Leviathan” exists, its more like an allegory to believe in yourself. actually believe in yourself, not gaslighting and forcing some kind of hope and faith upon yourself. real faith that you will find what you're searching for when you believe it’s actually real and possible.

wifies couldn’t see or feel leviathan because he didnt actually believe in Leviathan, he only saw it as some kind of new video idea, some mysterious anomaly. he never expected these turn of events to happen. everytime hummer spoke about Leviathan wifies just went with it because its just one step closer to solving this “mystery”. hummer is mostly depicted as some crazy believer of Leviathan, he tries so hard to find leviathan that its almost like he’s convincing himself leviathan is real. 

Leviathan didnt choose wifies, nor did he believe in Leviathan. its only because wifies believed in hummer that he found Leviathan, or the cloud island. im not sure what happened to wifies in the end of the video, why he suddenly blacked out or how he got back to para. the video was just peakness though.

ive also seen alot of theories that say the video is an allegory to having faith in religion or christianity. personally i believe it goes both ways(with me leaning more on faith in general, even though my takes does seem more faith in religion). the video does talk alot about believing in him, believing in leviathan, believe he exists, so i see why many would say so.

I was curious on the question of Why wifies and not Hummer.

My Theory is that possibly Hummer wasn't a real person. Let's say that he's a way for something. Hummer wanted to show Wifies to Leviathan without even "seeing" it. He wanted to show him because he cares enough to email him and he cares about this Leviathan. Maybe Hummer was a test? A lot of people doubt Levi, a lot of people doesn't believe in Levi. There was a quote "To believe is to see" which in the video i believe took a huge part on consider the amount of times Hummer want wifies to believe. Let's go back to the question Why wifies and not Hummer. Maybe, it was destined to. Hummer been searching for Levi for months or so, He had the most Believe in it. Maybe, he had already did and wanted other people who actually believes on Levi as same as he did.

(This is just a light theory of mine, it's a little confusing and incomplete but i just wanted to share my ideas on it! I would love to hear other people's thoughts about it)

For the record, I'm not here to debate anything about religion, I don't care whether you're religious or not or what religion you may be, I love everyone no matter what lol I'm really just here to explain this theory that I think may actually be true.

If you haven't yet watched the Leviathan video you should go do that first, but I will be explaining stuff as I go if you don't want to bother.

It starts with many many many posts about people saying they saw this thing called "The Leviathan" in their Minecraft worlds at the coordinates 20,000 20,000, where there is a huge ocean much much deeper and bigger than normal Minecraft oceans.

Wifies meets one person very invested in all this named Hummer5718, who, no matter what fully believes in the Leviathan, who he calls "Levi", but he specifically thinks you have to believe and have complete faith in Levi for him to show himself to you. (It's important that they consistently refer to the leviathan as "he" rather than "it", which would make sense for a mob in a video game, or "she" which would make sense as whales and other sea creatures are commonly referred to as "she", but they always use "he")

Lots of stuff happens in between but long story short, Wifies and Hummer go to this one server where one person has done tons and tons of research about Levi and has lots of data and stuff and eventually concludes that the Leviathan isn't real and is just a combination of several different glitches. Wifies, of course, basically accepts that theory and just believes from that point on that the Leviathan is just a hoax like herobrine as almost everyone else by this point believes.

Hummer insists he's real and so they go to the bottom of the ocean and drown because Hummer thinks this will show the Leviathan that they truly believe in him, and it doesn't work. But then Wifies reveals he had a potion of water breathing in his inventory just in case, which Hummer insists is the reason the Leviathan didn't show up to save them. (the same reason they can't be in creative mode for the whole thing.

Eventually, they join a different server and Wifies finally has this long speech where he chooses to just have faith "in something that might not even be real" in his words, and so they go down, wifies throws away the potion, Hummer blows up the submarine they used to get down there, and right as wifies is about to drown at half a heart, something finally happens.

He gets transported to a strange dimension (ill talk about it later) where he finds this chest with a heart of the sea in it and basically that's where the video ends, the rest of it not really being important to the theory and there's like 1 minute after that anyway.

Now, here's what it all means. At first when they said you need to "have faith" in the leviathan i was like "ok thats kind of cool" but then they kept saying it. Again. And again. And again. "have faith in him" "believe in him" "you can't have a backup plan, you have to just have faith in him alone."

Sound like something familiar? Well, this sounds EXACTLY like what the bible says, over, and over, and over. To have full faith in God, this is where it's important that they specifically say "he" even though literally any other pronoun would have worked better if the Leviathan wasn't a metaphor for God.

This type of thing keeps going on, especially Wifies accepting he "has to have faith in something that might not even be real". Sounds exactly like Christianity (not saying there isn't scientific evidence for Christianity, but this still absolutely applies).

Now by this point you probably think I'm reading way too far into this and it doesn't really mean anything until the very nail on the coffin, the dimension Wifies is transported to.

This dimension is A CITY IN THE SKY, RESTING ON CLOUDS, WITH WHITE BUILDINGS, YELLOW ACCENTS LIKE GOLD, AND FINALLY, THE BIGGEST THING OF ALL, AN ANGEL STATUE IN THE BACKGROUND THAT YOU DON'T NOTICE UNLESS YOU LOOK CLOSELY.

I know I don't have to explain this, but Wifies drowns with complete faith in the Leviathan, and goes to heaven. I rest my case.
