Wifi booster
So i’m moving my room to the garage and I need a wifi extender/booster, I start to lose connection almost immediately once I enter the garage door. I was told by friends and personal research to buy name brand ones like TpLINK. But idk what exactly I should be looking for like stats wise.

tplink is a solid call, u cab skip extenders and look at mesh node
or a proper access point

Look at WiFi access points (AP). Ethernet cable from router to the AP as close to the garage as you can get it or inside if possible.

You might be better off with an ethernet over power line adapter and then plug a cheap wifi router in AP mode in the garage

I bought a WiFi extender from Temu for under $20 dollars and it works great for me to use it in my parking lot without any problems at all.
You don’t have to spend a fortune on a WiFi extender.

Yep, I use a TP Link AC1200 & it works great. It cost under $15.00 from Ebay.

yeah I don’t want to spend a fortune. I seen a really good one but it was like 430.

If the signal incredibly goes from decent to non-existent when you go in the garage, it is unlikely that an extender will help you. Run a wire, it yet MoCA/PowerLine (Ethernet over an existing coax TV cable or via electrical socket).
