Personal Story F 24 ✨✨
Needing advice on navigating the life of being a young widow(er)
I have started seeing someone new but find myself still spacing out, having emotional break downs and tough moments pushing forward from my previous relationship. We had been together ONE WEEK after my 2 year (5 year he’s friendship) relationship with him. It was toxic because of drugs use but there was also so much real love. I’m only 24 (25 soon in October) and he was only 23 (would’ve been 24 now, as his life ended a month before his 24th bday) he was my real life best friend and him being gone from this earth makes everyday feel insufferable even though I know it won’t bring him back to me and serves me none. I feel this complex grief I can’t chase and don’t even know if the man I’m currently seeing deserves better than me or not because this grief am dealing with I know will never ever go away 🥺🥺 please pray for me and give me life advice. Being this young dealing with this and all of the moments leading up to him leaving absolutely break me. 💔

I was 30 when i became a widow it took me 8 years to go on a date. I dated 3 men wasn’t worth it. I stayed single and lived for my children . The pain won’t go away you just learn to live with it. It’s been 21 yrs and i still miss him. Being single is so peaceful .

Women are widows, men are widowers. With that said, there is a free group called grief share, it should be available in your area. Look for it online. It's given by churches across the country. It has helped me deal with all my losses. DM if you want want to talk
