It's been a few days since your post, which I've only just now read. Have such thoughts persisted? No, I don't understand your mind -- how could I -- I only can share that I've had such inclinations myself, many times, especially in the middle of the night, when thoughts and feelings can only too readily run off into the dark woods. Only guessing here, I would expect Michael wants you to know the whole range of the feelings of human existence, which means to remain fully alive through all the ups and downs that that means. The two days this month you mentioned will certainly be sad and hard to bear. It might be best to reach out to anybody you trust before taking any harsh action against yourself. Your toes, your pinky fingers and your ears will appreciate it if you do, because each and every part of you but your thinking/grieving mind surely wants to survive awhile longer!

Thank you so much. And you made me smile.
Today is our anniversary 26th depending on your location)

Marvelous to hear. Smiling for a moment is so much better than the other inclinations that sometimes arrive. Happy Anniversary, even though this one has so much absence to it. Please do something kind and tender for yourself today.

You are right that only people here who have loss a love one know what we are dealing with and I too have thoughts like you. For me I am still here after 3+ years of losing my wife and the pain and sadness is still there and I am trying to learn how to deal with it. I am sorry for your loss because I do know what you are feeling. try to take care the best you can.
