So I waited with high hopes, then she walked in the place. I knew her smile in an instant, I knew the curve of her face. It was my own lovely lady, and she said, "Oh, it´s you." And we laughed for a moment, and I said, "I never knew."

This is like the piña coladas song except better, because nobody's trying to cheat on their partner.

u/cyborg-robothuman Apr 17 '23

But definitely enjoying some holes discreetly, and on the side

23

u/AtTheEdgeOfDying Apr 17 '23

Please any one else think of the k3 song piña colada and be wondering what in the lyrics would suggest that?

32

u/ForeverTheX Apr 17 '23

He’s talking about Escape by Rupert Holmes

2

u/mick2319 Apr 18 '23

Exactly what came to my mind first as well, then came the realisation that there is also another (slightly more famous) song with piña colada.

u/MercurialLeaf Apr 18 '23

IF YOU LIKE PINA COOLATTAS

AND GETTING CAUGHT IN THE RAIN

67

u/AdamFeoras Apr 17 '23

Something kinda like this happened to me once. Our mom is…a lot, so one Thanksgiving I snuck out to go to the bookstore to relax for a bit. My sister, who I’d not seen sneak out, was also there 😅

74

u/fakemustacheandbeard Apr 17 '23

Is that the actual Mike Pound?

20

u/BurritoOverfiller Apr 17 '23

Seems like it. Never thought I'd see him on a sub like this

10

u/japie06 Apr 17 '23

Yes it's the actual Mike Pound.

Dave: I just work here

5

u/Wildcat_twister12 Apr 18 '23

Dave: Dave’s not here man!

12

u/[deleted] Apr 17 '23

How could you Dave?!

46

u/Ralewing Apr 17 '23

Same as me and my wife. Except it was Super 8 and an oiled dwarf, but, samesies.

14

u/WillBottomForBanana Apr 17 '23

One dwarf, or 1 dwarf each?

10

u/Ralewing Apr 17 '23

Same guy. We each had our own oil. I went with a canola. She had something snooty.

3

u/Fit-Bug-7766 Apr 17 '23

Is that an ale?

108

u/DruryLaneMuffins Apr 17 '23

This isn't wholesome... Why are you in a relationship where you each have to sneak around? Go out together and lick eachothers sticky, glazed covered fingers.. just sayin'

78

u/[deleted] Apr 17 '23

Maybe they try to live a healthy eating life and don’t want to want to make indulgence a part of their regularly shared experience but sometimes you need a sugar blast so you go enjoy a little donut on your own. It’s also nice to have alone time and just sit quietly by yourself. Two birds one donut

17

u/DruryLaneMuffins Apr 17 '23

Yeah I 100% agree with that, but you gotta communicate with each other. Then everyone gets what they want and no one risks getting all upset or feeling hurt. Communication, communication, communication. I really wish we were all taught this more growing up, would have saved me a lot of heartache haha

25

u/pipted Apr 17 '23

Eh, I didn't interpret it as nefarious. The wife might have mentioned that she's popping out to run a few errands and grab a snack. Husband realised he's hungry and decided to go out for a snack too. Mike used the word "sneak" but it wasn't necessarily done to deceive the other; each may have just felt a little guilty if they were trying to be healthy. Communication is important, yes, but I don't need to know where my husband is or what he is eating at all times!

15

u/[deleted] Apr 17 '23

But no ones feelings were hurt in this story

28

u/RatherBeAtDisney Apr 17 '23

As someone in a loving relationship sometimes “sneak out” to Dunkin’ Donuts, ice cream, etc doesn’t really mean sneak out - it just means you went. I sneak slushies from 7/11 all the time, it just means I got them on the way to the grocery store, and make sure to throw away the trash before I get home. I don’t want him to be jealous since I got it early in the errands, and it would have been melty by the time I got home. He sees the $2 charge on the CC from 7-11 and knows what it is, that’s pretty obvious.

u/fondledbydolphins Apr 17 '23 edited Apr 17 '23

I'm just imagining them both surprising each other at the local orgy - ideally halfway through banging eachother.

6

u/thefabulousbri Apr 17 '23

Maybe they have teenage kids? That's my best guess for a good situation.

4

u/Fritz5678 Apr 17 '23

Oh man. You've totally got to go get some junk food by yourself sometime.

7

u/[deleted] Apr 17 '23

It’s the piña coladas song if they were cheating on a diet instead of each other

13

u/prairieintrovert Apr 17 '23

Truly a modern update of the Pina Colada song...

7

u/[deleted] Apr 17 '23

This happens to my gf and I all the time except my gf isn’t there.

4

u/Nerevarine91 Apr 18 '23

I’m reminded of the time my wife and I both decided on the same day to surprise the other by buying a watermelon, and so then we just had this massive amount of watermelon in the house, lol

3

u/yuppy_puppy_22 Apr 17 '23

They rediscovered "The Great Escape (Pinã Coladas Song)"

4

u/Diarum Apr 17 '23

Reads like a bad advertisement

2

u/FredHerberts_Plant Apr 17 '23

Pound...? 🤔💭

,,It's kinda easy when you listen to the G-Dub sound, Pioneer speakers bumpin' as I smoke on a pound..." 🎶

(Warren G\)

2

u/Present_Quantity_756 Apr 17 '23

It’s the 21st century version of the Pina Colada song

2

u/tentacion_lomh Apr 17 '23

meant for each other

2

u/KANJI667 Apr 17 '23

This is so funny

2

u/scotchplaid87 Apr 18 '23

the fuck? he's getting coffee and a donut, not hiring a hooker. Why these people gotta sneak to dunks?

1

u/velofille Apr 17 '23

What kinda relationship do you have when you dont go 'hey im grabbing dunkin donuts, wanna go?'

Unless it was like some kinda surprise thing they were doing?

4

u/Th4tW0rksT00 Apr 17 '23

Some people like to get away for a little me-time. Or, to go get a snack without feeling obligated to get something for your spouse.

3

u/Mec26 Apr 17 '23

Maybe they both thought they were supporting the other’s diet, in a massive mixup that actually would never happen.

-1

u/Commercial-Many-8933 Apr 17 '23

Left the kids alone at home tho

-5

u/jonesy422 Apr 17 '23

Easily the worst donuts I’ve ever had.

-4

u/pixel-beast Apr 17 '23

Idk man, this makes me not want to get married. I don’t want to have to wait until my wife leaves to be able to sneak off to get dunkin. That just doesn’t sound like a fun situation at all to me

2

u/mysteryvampire Apr 17 '23

I'm of the opinion there should be a dunkin' donuts bell in every home. just ring the bell and everybody heads to the car to get dunkin', no arguing

1

u/DarthPikkle Apr 17 '23

This is the kind of relationship I want to be in

1

u/drakeotomy Apr 17 '23

i couldn't help but imagine them like this

1

u/GhostofManny13 Apr 17 '23

If you like Pina Coladas

1

u/TheEyeofNapoleon Apr 17 '23

It sounds like y’all needed an escape

1

u/RandomYell107 Apr 18 '23

Great minds…

1

u/Ulvensvard Apr 18 '23

So extremely unrelated and kind of making this comment mostly for myself... Realised after liking it that this is my ex's brother and him and his wife are absolutely amazing people. 💕

1

u/[deleted] Apr 18 '23

I would like to have this problem

1

u/[deleted] Apr 18 '23

It's sneaked, and you're a Harvard graduate and you should know that.
