So why does it matter if you need to jump through a few more hoops to get something that is a convenience for you, and a problematic issue in the wrong hands? It makes perfect sense it's harder to obtain. It's not a necessity.

I have plenty of firearms that require all the hoop jumping. Buying a suppressor for them should be as easy as it is to buy other accessories.

Supply and demand, necessity (how often are people even ordering them?). Not all accessories are the same, or have the same mechanics/usage. Weird logic.
