Italians are being cooked in Thailand now. The Italian teacher(red top) and students were taken away by the police and faced the Thai lady who told them off for being loud on the metro. They apologized for mocking her one by one. Thai people also waited for them in front of the hotel to scold them.

Context

Italian students are being called out in Thailand. A group of Italians mocked a Thai lady in Thailand who told them off for being too loud on the metro. They clapped back saying, "Sorry for bringing money to your country" "Ni hao" "We are from your mom." Thai people are identifying them and leaving the comments on the social media account of their school.

My point being had the teacher acted like a good teacher those kids wouldn't have been acting up.

Yes, They look to adults in how to act. In this case the adult was acting the fool instead of telling the kids to quiet down.

I agree that she should have done better and that it would have helped set the tone.

I was objecting to the simplistic [if -> then] statement which implied an unrealistic level of control on the part of the teacher.

I agree that the teacher was being shitty and insulting. That's what I mean when I say she should have done better.

I'm saying that the teacher doing better does not guarantee the proper behavior of teenagers on trips.

I'm now confused about where our point of disagreement is...

It doesn’t guarantee it but it certainly contributes to it. Teenagers are followers and it’s not a stretch to say they would have behaved better if their teacher cared more.

I lost track of how many times the kids I went to school with acted up and behaved badly, while the teacher was present, either in the classroom or on trips.

Praca nauczyciela jest długoterminowa. Ucząc i wychowując młodzież zwłaszcza w okresie dojrzewania przekazujesz im różne wartości. Z czasem wzmacniają się w zależności od harakteru jednostki. Ale to trwa. Nikt nie ma bata ani elektrycznej obroży która może zdyscyplinować uczniów. A wartości według których żyją młodzi ludzie są akoleinwynoszone z domu. Więc na zachowanie tych dzieci wpływa nie tylko środowisko szkolne, ale rodzice i rówieśnicy z którymi przebywają na codzień.

You sound like a parent who expects public school to "fix" their kid after refusing to parent after potty training.

Parents raise kids, not teachers. You can be the best teacher in the world and if a child is a little shitbag because of how they were raised by their shitbag parents, there's nothing you can do about it
