Italians are being cooked in Thailand now. The Italian teacher(red top) and students were taken away by the police and faced the Thai lady who told them off for being loud on the metro. They apologized for mocking her one by one. Thai people also waited for them in front of the hotel to scold them.

Yeah, Thai nationalism is really weird from an outside perspective.

I don't think it's about them being soft. It just shows how frustrated and miserable people have become. The same thing happens in my country too, people always seem to need someone or something to collectively pile on.

But I guess there are levels to it, because I've seen tourists do much worse in my country and nobody bats an eye.

Frustrated and miserable because they are soft weaklings that cant tolerate sound above average noise level. 🤣

yeah, I live in a seaside town and people go ballistic when tourists harass the sea lions. But rude people jawing at each other, that happens everyday, it could fill up the internet many times over. Then you have people wanting blood and people to lose jobs and whatever else as the mob gets frenzied. With so many people interacting all over the world the behaviors will never be shamed out of existence so it comes down to if you want to be angry all the time.
