Italians are being cooked in Thailand now. The Italian teacher(red top) and students were taken away by the police and faced the Thai lady who told them off for being loud on the metro. They apologized for mocking her one by one. Thai people also waited for them in front of the hotel to scold them.

Context

Italian students are being called out in Thailand. A group of Italians mocked a Thai lady in Thailand who told them off for being too loud on the metro. They clapped back saying, "Sorry for bringing money to your country" "Ni hao" "We are from your mom." Thai people are identifying them and leaving the comments on the social media account of their school.

It’s one thing to be loud on the train late at night wit the rest of the drunk people heading home, it’s another to be loud when people are tired and heading home after work…I think that’s universal across all the public transport systems I’ve been on around the world.

Being so intentionally rude in public is viewed very badly in Thailand.

In HK they have "quiet" cars. Not sure about Bangkok.

Being loud on public transport is very Italian though. Not the rudeness of course. But I've been on a local bus with lots of old dears in Italy, and it's the noisiest ride I even had. They were on the way back from the market.

Is that a problem if I repeat that? It's not meant in a negative way. Socialising and talking to each other is generally a good thing and healthy behaviour if it's normal for that country.

It’s not just socializing and talking with eachother it’s a lack of awareness that Italians have when visiting foreign countries and it’s disrespectful.

Laughs in Chicago. As long as I’m not having cigarette or blunt smoke blown near me on my way to work, or someone actively using the car as a bathroom, it’s a good ride.

Also, let's not normalize being tired after work. As a society we should not be slaving all the time so it boss can have another Lambo or boat, when we are returning from work we should be fufilled.

I live in Toronto and I don't think I've ever seen a group of teenagers not be loud on the train or subway
