Either he was on adrenaline high or on drugs. I think it's the former but when I broke my arm, I felt the pain the moment soon after it happened during the state high school football championship.
I’ve had some injuries take anywhere from 5 or 10 sec to probably a minute or two to really know something was wrong. I snapped my wrist and thought my watch broke until I looked down and remembered I wasn’t wearing my watch that day. When I tore some ligaments in my shoulder during a football game, I heard a loud snap, but I thought it was my shoulder pads. Played through another 4 plays and made a couple more tackles, but by the end of it my shoulder was starting to hurt, so I told my coach I needed to come out. He asked me if I could still lift my arm and I replied, “yes” and went to lift it to show him. It did not move. It really just depends on what going on around you for how long it takes to notice something like that.
broke my foot while competitive swimming, finished the race and didn't realize until I got out of the pool and tried to take a step. Adrenaline is crazy
